Rashaad could be the one to take doubles into. My best e/w is Joe Pike, who comes down in class. He's run in five MR 90-somethings in a row and is back in a MR 78. The last time he ran in a 78, he won. As we saw with Il Tanga at Kenilworth on Wednesday, some horses simply can't cut it in the huigher grades despite carrying less weight but can compete with bigger weights in the lower classes. At the end of the day, stronger opposition is stronger opposition, and the theoretical balancing effect of the weights in handicaps doesn't always help an inferior horse against stronger rivals.
Distinguished looks hard to beat, from a good draw especially.

It won't take a champion to beat My Jelly Bean, although experience always helps.

De Kock and Delpech with a first timer, and a first timer by Var making the trip from Joburg. There could be more to that first race than meets the eye, and My Jelly Bean looked very flattered to get as close as he did to the winner second time out. But, he has the experience and he has the form!
