Is this possible and what is the factors involved ?

I'm not sure, but I think it depends on how many poeple gets the trifecta/quartret in.. Maybe more people got the quartret in than the trifecta?

With a tote its only a machine and does not follow logic or odds, its only based on how many winning tickets are divided by how much is in the pool and sometimes it can have "strange" payouts

There is a logic to playing into the smaller un-comingled pools....play small, if the pool is small. Saw some yob take a R500 swinger in the 1st race in Dubai on Friday the pool was less than R3500 even if you had to draw little pictures the poor numb nut would never understand that his single bet was contrubing to 15% of the total pool.
