If you bet on French racing, are you aware that the tote pays out couplings for a Tote win?

So if u back the favourited stable companion, will u win say R2.00 if fav payed R2.00 or the R15.00 ur horse is paying?

All the couplings reflect the same payout, so always keep in mind when you back a horse for a tote win the couplings payout. So a 10/1 on books might be classed as tote favourite, as it may be coupled. So always check if your horse is coupled before throwing win tickets away, it applies to comingled pools in France.

Classic stuff, you could not write a comedy of errors or confusion better......

You can search on the site but I remember Dettori winning on a 6/1 shot and it paying 11/10 on the tote, which could have been acceptable as Frankie is a hero ........but it was NOT the tote fav!

Yes. The Pools are massive, more than a million wagered in both Win & Place pool. The Place pool is sometimes bigger than the Win pools and the payouts for the fancied runners for a place are quite good. Also offers better value than the oversea bookies prices. BTW the Swedish pools are combined with SA pool for harness racing.
