Interesting thread and thanks for the call Louis, let me just clarify that it will never be the intention of ABC to "stick anyone out, or ruin their reputation"

In this case paying for tips is a sensitive issue and my personal view is that I am not in favour, however this is not a secret club where secret agendas are kept, it is a 24/7 open forum with registered members to voice an opinion.

We have monitors, very seldom delete posts or reject members and try and let the flow go as much as possible and trust me, we receive many calls, SMS and PM which are not easy to deal with at times but always try and make a call, right or wrong.

We try and keep the site respectable in a very emotional game and appreciate all contributions and views.

We are not in favour of bitterness and personal attacks.

Well, Scotia, if we are ''not in favour of paying for tips'', we should let the thread run.....in spite of personal attacks.... which we are also not in favour of....and refer to ALL calls which we receive about any thread when we post on that thread...?!

If any "pay for my tips" tipsters are unprofitable to follow long term, surely ABC clansmen should be allowed to know about it.

interesting topic.my view is that punters should not pay for tips as there is no way in hell that anyone can consistently tip winners especially in rsa with the diff centres.i admire anyone who can survive for 12yrs tipping at horseracing in this country so kudos to him for finding people willing to pay for his tips.altho many punters believe they can show a profit from punting,the reality is we all show a loss and we all chasing that elusive big win and we will all die trying because that is human nature.iv realised many years ago there is no way u can win betting horses but yet i still try daily.lol.we all know most favs lose and that horses make asses of us more often than not, but we all come back daily for more punishment.by the way iv had some big wins, but the more u win the bigger u play and the faster u lose so really its a no win situation for the punter.im sure there are exceptions and i say good luck to them.

Any tipster who has to tip all tote exotics and post selections for every race will show a loss if you tabulate all the bets.

BUT the point is you have to be a really sick punter to take every tote bet and selection a service tips.

I often have friends trying to get me to start a tipping service. The problem is that people expect volume for their money. Tote all the time, first choices every race etc. Its because people expect and demand this, that tipping sites are not profitable. They want tips to fuel on their instant gratification, rather than waiting days between bets.

At some point a decision for a punter comes : Do you want to feed the addiction or show a profit ?

Agree Winzip. But, some Racing people just prefer someone else doing the homework for them. That's their choice, surely. It's just that I dont ever hear Matthew having a go at ABC or such. He just does his business....

And I have never ever heard of any Tipster advertising their losers (not even on ABC) nor of any company advertising the faults or weaknesses of their products.....

And yes, Shrek, it's simply about individual choice, when it comes to Matthew's tips. We agree. But, you mention his best bet that got beat and the other 4 winning etc. You dont mention the fruits of your own Tips.....or mine..... Yes, I know that yours are free on ABC and his are not. Point is, though, that he does have subscribers , as pointed out by Magi....!

Louis join the club,was not that long ago that Charl called us (abc ) Mother Fucking trailer trash in an article on his website.. we had a laugh about it and moved on..
