Can someone please explain to me how jockey remuneration structure works.
Riding fee? Prize money? Incentives? who Pays? etc........

They get a fixed fee for a mount? R500 ish

Ride fee now closer to R700....
They get 7% of places too

580 per ride i think..9% wins..6% places after deductions

From Chris Taylor ,jocks renumeration- R640/ride before Annuity deductions, 9% wins + 6% places after insurance + medical aid deductions.
