No system should prevail that causes anybody with superior ability to lose their edge..........this country already over rewards lack of incentive or effort.
I know a lot of people think successful people are lucky and failures are all unlucky...........no need to explain which category they fit into!

if you are a piss poor flyhalf does the ref allow you to move the ball 20 m closer to the poles? What nonsense!! The JASA shoud be harsher on handing out licenses in future and as i have stated before reduce the number of appies they take in .

What should happen is if you use Anton then your horse should carry a 5kg penalty just to semi level the playing fields (tu)
Give everything but up!

This can work, but not on the basis that it is suggested. This is how I think it should work.....
Anton Marcus price per ride R 1,500-00 commission 15%
Richard Fourie price per ride R 700-00 commission 7%
Mr XXXX price per ride R 500-00 commission 5%
Mr XXXX price per ride R 250-00 commsision 3%
(The R Amounts and % are just used as examples and are not my suggested fees.)
This way it may work, but the problem is that you would need an independant "handicapper" to set the prices and rates as 90% of the problem is that the jockeys at the bottom of the log believe that the only difference between them and Anton Marcus is the quality of the horse. It is not, it is ability, brain power, experience and many more things.

So you penalise the good jocks to subsidise the bad ones? It's ok with appies because they are inexperienced and there is a time limit built in. But with senior jocks, you gotta be shitting me.
