just watch the race...firstly and be more vigilant in this case......anton wins...put that call into file ...or if possible trace that call...ask that person to now explain...2nd scenario..the horse gets beat...have it on record with a few other officials of the circumstances in this race...and ask marcus to explain his riding ,together with the trainer if it was ridden to instructions...if both parties agree...they are satisfied with the runs...then there is nothing u can do....but lets say that the trainer is now also questioning the ride...then there must now be a full investigation...considering the call that was made prior to the race...1 more thing get the owner in as well....and let them all agree/disagree..about the ride...thats the way to handle it....not this mickey mouse way

1 more thing...when a call like this is made....it must be recorded...this will help clear up any insinuations....let the person making the call know...that the call is recorded..this should all help to make it a little more daunting on the person making that call...and if a person surely stands by what he is saying...he wont be intimidated by all these questions and rules relating to this issue

No doubt the call was recorded and will be followed up...but my point is that surely the interests of the punter must take priority in a case like this..and if that is the case then the whole affair was handled perfectly...

titch look at the bigger picture...nothing was achieved...not even the punter from being saved....sometimes u have to sacrifice something to achieve a bigger result...so lets report every jock on every horse from now on to the stipes....get the point..or do i have to break it down even further

ok lets just get something straight, anton, a guy who doesnt have an agent but simply picks his rides that he likes and gets them accordingly as who wouldnt want him riding their horse? secondly he has ridden 6 less winners than delpech, who has had more than 150 more rides than anton. thirdly anton has over R8.5million in stake money from 350 rides, plus all his other compensations from the jooste's, and other work he does. for a guy who is very relaxed with his lifestyle at the moment, considering he hardly ever leaves durban to ride, and sits shul with his family every saturday morning, he is not desperate for money, and would not do anything that may get his license taken away because he pulled a horse for a quick buck....common guys, this is seriously the biggest joke ive ever heard

bushy we've long past that...we all know that anton is the victim here.....what we are now discussing ...is the ways the stipes went about the business of handling that call.....we are not for 1 single moment saying that he is involved..thats not even on the discussion...it just so happens that he is the rider involved in the call...thats why we are using his name...

actually in hind sight...this would have been the perfect example(anton's calibre) to test that crank call...because all and sundry knew..that the stable money was on..so the stipes wouldn't have needed tell anton about the call...beacuse if the ride was poor...the stable wouldn't have left it unturned

Bushy we all know Anton's credentials and nobody is questioning his integrity, my point is that all jocks in cases as being discussed are treated equal and the same rules apply tor all..

anton before the meeting even started only gave the horse a place chance, not saying he couldnt win on it but was not as confident on it as he was with the likes on his ride in the 2nd, but i think after getting told about the call to stipes, this made him really hurt and rode the horse even harder than ever, anton is a man of heart and something like this would get to him hard, and as we all put our best effort always into what we love, when someone approaches us doubting what we shall achieve, it only gives us that little extra drive to perform, and this was shown in his ride...top jockey, top individual
