HBO's 'Luck'No Moment of SilenceFor Dead Horse



The cast and crew of HBO's "Luck" didn't miss a beat after a horse died on location today -- they just kept on shooting.

Eyewitnesses tell us ... the horse suffered a fatal injury after rearing up, falling backwards and hitting its head on the ground, breaking its neck. It was then euthanized.

We're told the crew was told to drive themselves from Santa Anita -- where the accident occurred -- to Marina del Rey to continue shooting the show.

As we reported, this is the third horse death on the series. After one of the other horse deaths, HBO stopped production, but apparently horse death has become somewhat routine on "Luck."

HBO was scrambling today after we called with information about the death, trying to delay publication of the story.

Average number of horses put down due to racing injuries in the last 5 or so years in KwaZulu Natal is 8 per year. Over a 100 meetings a year.

Well said Garrick cause that's just how it is !!!! I have tried to keep all my ex racehorses but unfortunately i am not rich enough and have placed a few in what I hope is a good home. As for the breeding industry maybe somebody should try to teach them that less is more they breed these poor mares year after year if u suggest they skip a year they think u completely off Ur head. And the substance abuse as u pointed out is absolutely disgusting , turning these magnificent beasts into DRUGGIES ????

I find it really hard to understand how you religious people can get into racing I thought gambling in any form is a sin ????

For me there was no better sight in racing than watching Best Mate sail over the jumps

Can quite understand its the normal story whenever humans have shit in their lives they turn to GOD and racing is full of SHIT !!!!!!
