I feel the same. Going to donate my horse racing betting budget (march & what's left) to the Animal anti cruelty league in Epping. They care for a lot of cart horses. After reading all these post's.....eina

Its strange that the great protectors of the integrity of racing like certain agents, trainers, and owners dnt protest to a truthful post like garricks but attack the ppl they perceive to be just another punting mug

ag please what is all thees no sense? what we do next, ag shame the little impala is eat by the lion in the kruger park, we must get rid of the lion. let us be very very sure about one thing. a racehorse is in the best place when it is racing in the stable. when the racing is finish then comes the problems. stop with the cry babies, i say if a horse is not breed after racing then it is time to shoot finish and klaar. before everyone gets all hug the bunny then please to consider this - the oppenhemers they have this policy for years and horse that dont make breeding stock is destroy immediately. ask craig he will confirm what i say. the oppenhemers are 100% correct the bullet is painless and is best option. go look what happen at horse care units to old racehorse. stop this nonsense, if you dont like go buy a bunny and hug dont go racing

The cruelist thing of all is horses tied up in their box 23 hours a day, with no life until they race or "retire"

craig i dont say they are wrong it is more cruel to give the horse to somebody who dont look after it that is why the horse care units are here. i go to the unit here in joburg some old horses from racing were used in township to pull carts you will not believe the state of this poor animal. no, much better to destroy with no pain. ou ryperd you must wake up go visit the horse care unit you soon stop to talk shit

Not bad for one of the "great sporting highlights" of the year, eh? And it's not even finished yet. What a crock of sh!t, and to compare this to lions eating impalas in the game reserve defies logic, IMHO.

Garrick, Hit the nail on the head. Horses are abused and the NHRA allow the use of Anabolic steroids in racing. This is the worst Abuse of our heroes, the horses. They have NO say
