OLYMPIC VICTORY

I have a simple philosophy, if the perd comes from the Cape, i let it run clock-wise once before taking a punt at it. Not saying it won't win but it's not a banker for me.

You can argue that the perd has only run straights and has not gone around the bend yet, well then how can it be priced up that short!

I wouldn't be too quick to completely dismiss Cotillion's chances. She beat a highly regarded sort on debut and did it well. She has a nice pedigree and wasn't a cheap buy, so there is no earthly reason why she should be inferior "just" because she is from PE. That said, she will have to shift her behind to beat The Black Rose, I'd imagine.

If we're talking about The Black Rose, she's running down the straight today as well. If you mean Ocean's Swift, she ran in a Listed race over 1400m at fairview last year and bolted in.
