Brillian win by Alonso. This championship is not so wide anymore. Ferrari on the way back, but Vettel still a good outsider.Great stuff to see Niki Lauda handling the interviews. What a great race.

Having dominated every practice and qualifying session bar FP3, Lewis Hamilton took a superb pole position - McLaren's 150th - at the Hungaroring on Saturday afternoon. Hamilton set the pace throughout and saw Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel fail to beat his 1m 21.260s lap.
Vettel managed 1m 21.416s, but in the final seconds Romain Grosjean thrust his Lotus round in 1m 21.366s to push the German down to third
Difficult track, but Hamilton won here being on pole in 2007. Mercedes battling! Great day's racing tmo. I'm going Hamilton.

Hamilton wins
It may have been a slow-burning affair, but Sunday's Hungarian race didn’t lack drama with Mclaren’s Lewis Hamilton expertly resisting pressure throughout from the Lotuses of Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean to win from the front.
On a day when the best that title contenders Fernando Alonso, Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel could muster was fifth, eighth and fourth respectively
01 Fernando Alonso 164
02 Mark Webber 124
03 Sebastian Vettel 122
04 Lewis Hamilton 117
05 Kimi Räikkönen 116
06 Nico Rosberg 77
07 Jenson Button 76
08 Romain Grosjean 76
09 Sergio Perez 47
10 Kamui Kobayashi 33
CONSTRUCTOR STANDINGS
01 Red Bull Racing-Renault 246
02 McLaren-Mercedes 193
03 Lotus-Renault 192
04 Ferrari 189
05 Mercedes 106
06 Sauber-Ferrari 80
07 Williams-Renault 53
08 Force India-Mercedes 46

Sharks just looked bigger and stronger on the day. Stormers game getting stale defence defence defence and hope that the opposition make mistakes. They have missed Burger and Fourie this season.

Felt that they were away for a year. Race 300 for Schumacher, but I don't think that Mercedes has the speed of the Red Bull's, McClaren or Ferrari. Hoping for Alonso but will be very happy if Schumi could make the top 3.

Jenson Button was almost in a class of his own in qualifying at Spa on Saturday afternoon, lapping his McLaren in 1m 47.686s and then improving that to 1m 47.573s to secure pole position
Going to be very exciting. A track that's very demanding reason being that the cars run flat-out 70% of the lap. I think the teams that manages their tyres the best will do well.

Well done Jenson. Glad to see that the mad Frenchman (Maljan alias Grosjean )got a penalty of a one race ban.....can't believe that Hamilton got off scott free.
