Why the desperation to train for jooste? He seems to give the plums to the big boys eg mdk, ramsden, bass, laird, the rest get the leftovers

what "everyone" fails to see is that one day when he fu cks off it wont only now be charles laird that is in kak. Now it will be 10 trainers and soon 20 and then 30.......i personally cant wait. I think that day will be the rebirth of SA racing. The "old" will all be out and the new will rebuild on strong foundations.

NO one can argue with me that 1 person having such a potential negative impact on any business is a healthy state to be in.

Love or hate the man - he knows business and loves his racing. I know him through our association with Charles Laird and he is quite a nice guy and open to a chat. If one has the means why not buy what you want - even if it means dominating.....

Negative impact, Easy?

1) Buys horses here and overseas.
2) Pays his staff and his Trainers.
3) Breeds quality horses.
4) Pays vet and transport bills.
5) Buys horses from other farms and pays for them.
6) Wants to win the big races.

You dont have to like him. You dont have to admire him. You dont have to Train for him, agree with him or even befriend him.

But if any of the above 6 points are having a negative impact on Racing, then I have seriously lost the plot ....... and my very good Owners who do exactly the same as the above, are also having a negative impact on Racing !!!

Just maybe the man is just so brilliant which is why he is so talked about, by all and sundry. Even if just out of envy.

Truth be told everybody would like to have the buying power of jooste

If he is negative for racing than you have to say that goldolphin and coolmoore is also a negative for racing, which of course is total bullsh!t

I can only see 1 negative in an owner having horses with multiple trainers.... WHICH ONE IS GONNA WIN!...
but hey, thats just me...
