Anyone remember a horse called News of Iran in the 80's. Won once a year around the same time....typical mudlark. At Newmarket if I am not mistaken. Always a long price. Used to look forward to that time of the year. I'm sure there were a few others, perhaps currently as well.

When i`m picking my UK selections i always look for past performances at the time of year.
Plus in the uk certain sires work better at certain times of the season (Selkirks and Choisir like the soft etc)
