Ladbrokes - What a disgrace!
13 years 1 month ago
I'm furious and completely frustrated with Ladbrokes.
Just had my account restricted to 0.00 stakes.
Deposited 10, won 15, lost 15 and now closed. All this over a nett 0 pounds. The aggravation is that I know if I lost and deposited and lost again, that would be perfect. Any sign of being able to win cause the same reaction I've had from every bookmaker who opens here from the UK.
Calling the customer centre is the biggest joke and gets you absolutely nowhere.
My tip to Tellytrack is take the advertising money while you can, this can only go the same way as Chandler et al. Although why anyone would get involved with such a diabolical company is beyond me.
A good mate did warn me that it is well known in the UK, that anyone with a Ladbokes account is a walking joke because, they ONLY keep loser accounts.

Not entirely true Jack, i can understand your frustrations. Its my biggest gripe in racing, having accounts restricted.
But they do use some accounts as marks. My advice is to have a few football bets mixed in with your horse bets.
Bookies love laying footy bets.If your just backing SA racing and winning they probably think you have inside info.
Its not right but thats how they are, more like accountants arent they.

Personally I think it's bullshit. They are supposedly bookmakers ffs and they have been granted a licence accordingly. Risk is part of the business, similar to the insurance business surely ? But it appears these people want the business without the risk. What rubbish !! They should have their licence revoked and be told to F O !!! imo anyway.

ban bookmakers, bet on the tote only, no limits. built up a strong tote.
which are the strongest and wealthiest horse racing nations today? france, hong kong, usa and even sweden. what do they have in common? a tote monopoly.

Yup,I can't wait to have a couple of grand on a horse on the tote ,and then it has to place to get my own money back......the day there is no fixed price ,I turn it up.
As I have said before if "P" had any vision they would have already bolted on a fixed price tote.........it's called an exchange.
The punter still gets what he wants and the tote gets the commision, and the gambling board are,or at least were, not likely to object in view of the commissions comments on the principle.

This is the most forward thinking I have read for a new Tote strategy.

all bookies have biased rules.....and sometimes it works against them...
in the instance i am gonna refer to...its quite a prominent bookie with many branches and well known to all on this forum(but i am not gonna mention the name)..
i have been playing with this bookie for quite a while more than 15 years....and u can imagine what i have lost...but the point i am making may surprise some
a month ago a friend of mine and i wanted to win R100 000 on a double...i went to the local branch ..he went to the umhlanga br...
he was not known there as he doesn't play there....on placing the bet they only gave him R20 000 and no more....me on the other hand...got the full R100 000 and on hearing that he was R80 000 short on his double....i took it again to win R80 000...no questions asked.....now they have set a precedent....they will lay me up to R200 000 0N DOUBLES AND TREBLES and its been confirmed with head office...oh by the way the double clicked....and they haven't knocked me backed on any subsequent bets....i use that to my advantage now...and place bets for others who cant get on....even for some bookies....buts it has to be all cash...no credit...and they pay on the turn...no delays...and make a small commission inbetween
