BLAZE OF FIRE and the Derby ?

why are the connections running this 3yo in the Sa Derby . He seems to have huge stamina limitations and is making a very long journey from pe .

Any views from the breeding fundis on this one ?

Not the strongest Derby field and when one takes into account that 3rd place earns 150k and 4th 75k it certainly is worth having a go..his last start on the highveldt he did himself proud when 3rd in the RTR cup albeit over 1400m and he ran well in a very strong Cape Guineas field finishing just 2 lengths behind Divine Jet and 3 lengths behind GMTGL and 5 lengths to Silver Flyer.....if you 'aint got a ticket you 'aint gotta chance

Probably the best 3yo in PE ,stayed on again last time again after being too free early.. agree that its a doubtful stayer but nothing wrong with having a bash imo,great day out for the owners
