Race 1 number 9 here I am.has been claimed from
100/1 down to 10/1. How much brings it down to 10/1?
Any insight on this?

Do you think it's going to be "wet" ?

If claim was 25,000 , R250

Is that 3 claims for R25000 or to win R25000?

how this horse was ever priced up at 100/1 is mindboggling...he was travelling very well last time out ducked from eventual winners crop and dislodged the jockey...wish i had seen the opening price...good luck to the shrewdy that got on early...he will get a run for his money NO DOUBT!!!

Tabgold says we had 49mm overnight. That is incorrect,it poured on monday. No rain yesterday at all.

The official pen is 25 and with it being overcast and with a NW tailwind there has to be a chance of more rain today.Once again the tailwind probably makes it fairer for all runners up the straight though as it tends to negate the draw bias.

Scotia, could you please explain these "claims" to me as I honestly dont understand how it works. I remember on track at Kenilworth if you stuck r100 on a horse at say 20/1 the bookie would not move the price but if the horse was say 3/1 he would shorten it by half a point. Does this "claiming" work on the same basis?

I am right near course whole day. No rain but partly cloudy and a moderate wind that looks like a NW blowing.
