Stop complaining about old people, you will all be old one day (if you are lucky) (
The problem is duplication to start with, after watching the replays over and over again, we then get the opinion on the breakfast show, winning ways, world focus, Nico show, Julie show etc etc all showing the same replays and giving a view.
As far as reading letters, this is history it's all done and dusted before read, remember we used to write to racing express, computer form etc, get your letter published, following week answered, now we have electronic media!
For me a good show to watch would be one to discuss the future, what is coming up and a "live" forum but I might be biased.

I remember Goodman at Newmarket midweek racing years ago, the results were very poor and whilst waiting in the queue for the ATM, I noticed James Goodman at the front of the queue, when he got his money and was walking past me, the guy behind asked him for a winner, JG being as vociferous as ever answer " how am Isupposed to know a winner" to which the guy replied " you are not kidding, you could not train a cat to drink milk" The bold James then strode off looking very indignant:)-D
