Control Freak & Black Caviar

Just a thought, Control Freak destroyed everything laid before her in Zim, Black Caviar annihilated all & sundry in Oz.
Control Freak hasn't fulfilled her expectations in SA so what's the chances that Black Cavair will fail in the UK?

In saying this, I was really hoping that Control Freak would have won the Fillies Guineas by 10 lengths! & by no means do I want Black Caviar to come short in the UK!

There is always the chance because she is on an away day,but she is the best i have seen..
Plus the big difference with control freak and Black Caviar is Control Freak was beaten middens rated in the 70`s and Black Caviar has beaten some very good Grade1 sprinters on the bridle in a country thats sprinters and racing has no comparrison in the world..

When CF went off as favourite in the Guineas we all thought that there was some easy money to be made.

Comparing Zim and Aus? Australia is a massive force in the racing industry. To destroy all the best sprinters in Australia is hugely impressive.
In 2010, Australia produced 17 191 foals and had 31 773 starters.
France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland and Italy combined produced 19994 foals and had 31730.
South Africa produced 3683 foals and had 7210 starters.
Zimbabwe produced 95 foals and had 274 starters.
When a horse dominates a local region, there's no way of knowing how it will handle stronger fields until it tries (as we've seen when our better horses go abroad - some do well, some don't), but there is no reason to think that Australia is any weaker than Europe, especially when it comes to sprinters.
If Black Caviar doesn't do well over there it will probably have more to do with her having to travel halfway across the planet to a different climate and to race on undulating tracks and so on. Send the UK's best to face her in her back yard and see what happens.

Gotta agree with the boys Brandhow. Shldnt be comparing BC to anything with CF has done. Even if BC doesnt win at Royal Ascot( i think she will WIN), it not a case of "i told you so". We talking about a racing machine here. If you really want to compare, compare the money BC has won and the money they prepared to spend to go and show the world just how good she is.
I had the honour of watching and having a punt on her in her 1st and 4th attempts although not at the racecourse and to think, 2 and 1/2 years later she is still unbeaten just bring goosebumps to me. Like what Horse Chestnut use to do to us. These special horses keep us MAD about the game. Like Silent Witness did to Hong Kong. Even though BC is not South African.....i wait in anticipation for her to prove to the world how good she is......then down the years I will wait for another champion(and I hope it will be a SA bred) to come and give us another thrill!!!!!!

This thread wasn't meant to be a debate but rather a comparison between to fillies who have beaten everything in their respective countries and how CF has faired away from home and if possibly BC will overcome the obstacles of running / winning on another continent!
In the same breath, Igugu will be set the same task in 2013! Secretly we all want champs to keep on winning where ever they race either home or abroad.

Guys you honestly don't know how good Black Caviar is,
The sectionals she runs is absolutely scary. She WILL WIN in UK and i suggest u bet up.
what she has done for racing here is scary, she leads the evening news, is on front page on the papers. they move the times of AFL games so as not to clash with her races.
She has HOUSE FULL SIGNS wherever she runs. she is a FREAK.
I dont understand why ppl anywhere in the world want good horses to get beat and try bag them whenever they can.
get behind them and support the SUPERSTARS of our game
