Why does no one speak of Pomodoro? How are the experts comments? I think the extra will suite him. Might be a bit of a sharp run in though.... he tends to come bounding home late

Why has Galanthus moved out of the top 30.Is he not worthy of a run in the July?

Pierre Jourdan will have top weight of 60.
Dancewiththedevil 59.
Jackson 57.
The balance one can just work out accordingly.

LOL, I guess it means no refunds if you don't make it to the final field. It could have been phrased a little better I suppose.

jackson for me...everyone concerned bout the big weight but off his rating he should only be recieving 1kg from PJ..but because of the cap of 57 for 3yos he will be well in..considerably!! so he is actually very well weighted!

You are right, but only if Jackson really is 116 already.
Jackson gets his 116 from Potala Palace 105 and Mushreq 103 runs in the Cape Derby.
Mushreq got his 103 in a Novice Plate, and probably ran 98 95 55 in last 3
Potala Palace got his 105 (beating Beacon Flare who barely scrapes a 94 in runs thereafter) in the Premier as a 2yo, and hasn't won a race since his Graduation Plate.
I think they are good horses, but it's rich to assume they BOTH ran career bests sandwiched between Tribal Dance (23rd on log) and Solar Captain (not bothering) in that particular race.
Jackson ran about 110- 2nd in the Guineas the other day, and that 2nd being better than Igugu going into the July. At the moment the handicapper has Jackson 4 lengths better than Igugu a year ago. Fighting talk and cavalier ratings. I hope they haven't stopped Jackson. At any rate(ings), we are watching history unfold.

the fact that the horse ran 110 in its first run in kzn, over a distance shorter than its best in a prep run where he was definately not 100% fit tells me that the 116 cant be too wrong..give or take a pound..dont u think from the guineas into daily news into the july there is definately room for 3 lengths improvement?
igugu was beating las ramblas going into the july...you can only rate a horse off what they are beating..jackson has more credible gr1 form for a more credible rating...

and its the handicappers job to stop horses..thats why its called handicapping..it wouldnt be handicapping if the same horses won handicaps over and over just because they are the best..thats what races like the met and queens plate are for..if people want the best horse to win the july because its good for racing or whatever it must be turned into a WFA race..but for now its a handicap so everything needs a chance to win..and the only way thats going to happen is if the top guns carry big weights
