Royal Galaxy - 30 minutes before the race

We have a horse priced up at 5/10. He is the key horse on the card for PA's, Pick 6's and Jackpots. Surely before racing Deez or someone from Teletrack could have asked the Tarry yard about this runner ?

He is only returning from a 447 day rest !

They do nothing for the punter. Bunch of a-holes

Harris you are absolutely right ......and even in Mauritius the public would have access to timed workouts to give a clue to fitness &/or soundness.
Regulators need to play a role in this type of situation.
We have no idea if the horse is "in the race" or "needs the run" and this is just a gallop.
Must be great to race where there is regulation to help punters (:D

I had a look at the race this morning and came to the conclusion it was a "non" race.

The field is weak ........if it repeats its debut it Sh!ts in............not nice to hear later,if it happens to run out of it,that it needed the run or some other story.
It is a betting stable after all!

I am willing to say that he is one of Tarry's better horses. He beat a weak field I know and he was off for a long time I know......

I have no doubt he is top, top, top class and I never even saw the race today.

I watched his debut 18 months ago and he is one of the better movers and lookers I have seen in a long while!

Oi! Don't step out of line.... remember you a p u n t e r. The people in the know do not hold you in high regard at all.. you are addicted after all so you can't help yourself... you the t*ts that largely fund this industry ... get it into your skull.B)-

Rob is there no one that can take this to parly or the competition board or something and rate the racing industry as a form of insider trading... and force the industry legally to pull the covers off of the training yards...

Avanza, you can't blame the training yards.......they are running a business and they get on with doing things within the rules that govern their business............it is the rules that govern their business that is in the hands of incompetents.
I don't know about you,but I am more than happy to have to study the form and do all that it takes, but I have a problem with having to guess about factors which we could and should be assisted with............it can't be unreasonable!........other countries regard it as a requirement and a necessity.
The SA racegoer should be entitled to some kind of knowledge as to the fitness and soundness of first timers and horses rested more than 2 months, and it is the regulators job to ensure itt happens.
If they need help as to how to regulate that ,I am sure there are a few of us who could help them update their rules.

I am not trying to blame the yards here... I think you and me agree that to look at a field of first timers or rested ponies and try and THUMBSUCK some sort of intelligent guess belongs to dimwits and addicted gamblers.
The only guide you have is the betting and whispers.
Pricing guide is usually only offered as post claims and the boytjies have got in..
Whispers belong to those in the stables and closely associated...

So where does that leave Pietjan and Sipho? As oblivious funders of the industry, blinkered by his ignorance.
I mean having a roll on a strawberry machine might yield better returns. And the industry wonders why people don't go to the races... you have to embrace the masses and allow them a fair bet. No one is expecting it not to be a gambl.
The bottom line must read something like... its far too cosy for far too many for change to happen.

Avanza, couldn't have put it better myself...........................lol
The NHA board other than Graeme Hawkins and maybe one or two others are totally unqualified to even understand what needs to be regulated............most have an honarary position on the board linked to their work rather than their specific aptitude to regulation............it is why it is a joke!
I just wish they would charge me with "bringing racing into disrepute"............it would give me the opportunity to present the evidence of who is really bringing the industry into disrepute!
