Herewith are a few ideas on how to make our big race days better. I specifically have the Gold Circle Winter season in mind :
1-could Gold Circle splash out a bit and provide all grooms involved in big race days with suits. If owners and punters can get dickied up for the big day I think and effort should be made to make the grooms look their best. They put in a lot of work with their respective charges and giving them a suit will not break the owners bank...
2-get real trumpeters to play the tune that greets the horses coming out onto the track. A cheesy recording is tacky to say the least...
3-get the sponsor to put their name on the distance markers...
I have a few other suggestions but will leave it at that for now...
