So is he unbeatable for the July?

Top horse however in the July he will be competing against strong opposition.
It will be very difficult for him to win.

His time today was 0.6 seconds faster than Viva Maria & that is after being eased down towards the line.

Think that if the Woolavington was run the way the Daily News was, Ilha Bela would of won.

whats all this cackle about him being a doubt for the July?

I'm watching the replays. The Daily News will be up just now. I will have an astute ear to the owner's comment.............

So what strong opposition are you referring to in The July.....the 3 rd fav is 14-1....!

When asked about his feelings about the July one of the owners said "..its not a foregone conclusion. We'll see how it pans out"...

The average merit rating of all horses in the Daily News was 101.
The average merit rating of all horses on the July Log is 109.
IMO the July field of 20 will form a stronger opposition for Jackson as
opposed to the Daily News field.

Mike de Kock's horses will be tuned up on July day.

If the Daily News was not a target for the Tarry runners(better to take on Jackson in the July, getting 5 Kgs!!) then Jackson ran to +-100 on a line through the placed horses.
A good run.............. but how good is not all that clear!

Ilha prefers a galloping course, I reckon Delpech was told to make it a true test and set that pace to suit Ilha... she just did not quicken fast enough in the short straight. So it was a case of 'all's well that ends well' for the De Kock yard.

i'm prepared for egg but this Illha Bela is way overated - I doubt she could trouble English Garden

the daily news win proves nothing..the 2nd and 3rd horse were rated 93 and 89..he was supposed to murder those two..the other big guns were dissappointing..final field will be interesting now...for me vettel and shogunnar shouldnt be handed starts in the july for that run but pomodoro etc will be in and those 2 have beaten him here so its a hard one
