U will be getting lots of PMs in the future.
Best form of defense is offence, they gonna have to have more energy than me... If that doesn't work, will take them for a crawl around the block attached to the end of the dog's lead.
6 months to get all in order...
Thanks all

My friend, nothing will prepare you for twins trust me. The wife and I did all the research we could, prepared ourselves like you cannot imagine. At the end of it all we had to start from scratch, we had to figure out what worked best for us. ROUTINE, ROUTINE, ROUTINE. That's the best advice I can give you. Stick to what works best for you and the missus. I got a son and a daughter with two complete different characters, right now they cannot stand each other. 1st 3 months they would wake up practically every 2hrs and not the same time so sleep was a major issue. The wife and I were constantly at each others throats, it can get extremely frustrating but they need 4 hands to take care of them. You have to function as a team. You have to be hands on. Gone are the days where the mother takes full responsibility.
Double the trouble but also Double the joy !!!

1 most useful tip ever, don't splash the cash just yet. Get the absolute necessities first !! We are on the Discovery Classic Comprehensive Plan which is the 2nd highest plan yet I had to fork out almost 15k extra for the Anesthetist, Peaditrician, Gynae & Audiologist. Discovery reimbursed me about 6k. So be wise. Most important is their formula and nappies and tons of vests, rompers and face clots. First 3 months they are drinking & messing machines. Vaccination costs are between R1500 & R2000 per child every 4-6 weeks for the 1st 6 months excluding the Paeditrician costs. So choose the local clinic rather as the vaccines are goverment stock which the paeditricans use as well. Dischem and Clicks pharmacies are good and reasonable as well.
When purchasing cots, prams, bedding etc try out A-Z Baby's World in Fordsburg. They give reasonable discounts. Not sure which area you in but if I can recommend a good hospital its Sandton Medi-Clinic.Nurses and staff are absolutely a pleasure to deal with.
All the best to you and the wife and feel free to PM me anytime you guys need advise.

Chippy, first of all Congrats to you and the missus. I have 2 young daughters and all i can say is that i agree 1000% with Punter. Very wise words my friend. You can not be more spot on with anything you wrote above! Good advise that i could not give any better than he has.
