Going over in August for 6 months, what you think of his decision?

He is a top rider, but becos not so long ago he left the Snaith's.....now he's again chucking for 6 months. If i was a trainer, i would want some consistency in my stable.....especially from my stable jock who is riding work and giving the valuable input.

Great decision, besides the financial rewards the opportunities are endless for a young jockey. Tough life there in the apartments but if he puts his head down and works hard the sky is the limit. All the best to him.

My five cents worth. I have spent a lot of time in the company of Jockeys at the stables in the morning and obviously at the races.
It is not often that Jocks in general compliment the prowess of other riders but Richards natural ability does come up. His peers rate him highly and if he had to really focus on his career they reckon he will a champion. Having said that I must add that the same name keeps coming up when I ask the question as to who is our most talented and natural rider .. Striker it is unanimous. Even Andrew Fortune told me the same, and we know how talented he is. Maybe I should do a class of racing episode asking and recording Jocks opinions about who they feel is the best.
