SA Soccer corruption- and we bet on it???

There has been an out cry from within the football fraternity involving the high levels of corruption in the Vodacom League, South Africa’s third tier of domestic football.

During the launch of the Vodacom League promotional playoffs, SAFA’s CEO, Robin Petersen, admitted that the league does have elements of corruption, although said that they are focused on eliminating it.

He said that SAFA has over 3 million members and the Vodacom League has about 144 teams, which is a challenging task.

"Just like in life there are human beings in football and we are trying to curb the corruption in the Vodacom League. We know there have been many complaints about referees and officials and we will do all we can to help curb that tendency in the league.

“I have just read a book called Risk which talks about football bribery in the World. Some do it because of gambling and other stuff but we, as an organisation, we are working on that. We know it’s there and we have to curb it," Robin expressed

Our players are so poor that I doubt they'd have the skill to fabricate a result unless they scored own goals(:P)
