Iam gonna be broke

Iam gonna be broke before the racing starts on July day...R200 for entrance...R25 for race card...R50 for parking. GC expecting to sell 50,000 tickets...that makes it R10 million from ticket sales alone!!!

The prices for the tents and functions are hectic

Miller Marquee - R650.00 - Standard, R1,500 VIP, R2,500 - VVIP

As much as I have tried to in the pas there is no was I can drink anywhere near R500 worth of Free Miller (at cost) from 11am till 5pm and still eat on top of that.

The point is, you pay for the experience and the experience is awesome! I just wish they were placed a bit better on the track. The tent is at the entrance to the straight.

Yes Titch but being part of Discovery, I get discounts on the movies... ... Its called value added services

Punters/Owners are the lifeline of this industry yet they get fark all back from the operator, there should be some sort of loyalty programme imo, something like if you have attended 10 Greyville meets throughout the year you get 50% discount on entry to the July. Plenty more this is just off the top of my head...

The other day I got a email from Phumelela about fnb deposits via your mobile... I found the email so impersonal, NO Dear Greg OR As a Valued Customer, just straight to the point about making deposits... ()

I suspect alot of regulars wont be able to afford the R200 entrance fee...but maybe you know otherwise

I am not qualified to speak on this subject as the last July I went to was 20 years ago...i prefer to watch it from home

If u love the horses and the july of the experience don't complain about pricing. Just my 2 cents worth.

I thought the R25 20 years ago was daylight robbery and have been protesting ever since

titch can even take a doris withto the movies and maybe catch a ride later and at my age hopefully last longer then the record time run over the july distance
