MORE BAD EXPERIENCES @ TOTE

"She persuaded her daughter to accompany her for moral support. I should probably explain at this point that Christine is one of those wonderful ladies who is always beautifully turned out and only needs to re-touch her lipstick to be ready to take on anything life can throw at her. In short, not someone who routinely turns up the local Tote. Anyway, despite arriving money in hand and determined to place her bet, the staff must have decided that the nice lady must be lost and chose to ignore her completely. Asking for help got her no-where, there was no obvious information posted anywhere in the Tote and when one of the regular patrons baldly asked ‘What exactly are you doing here?’ their courage deserted them and they beat a hasty retreat. Which is a real shame because as she candidly pointed out – We had ‘mug’ written across our foreheads – they could have told us anything and we’d still have handed over our money. Oh well.” They shrugged it off good-naturedly."

this is a part of a story written by Miss Louw

This morning I experienced just that at our local TAB.

I went their to play my bets for tomorrow to avoid the crowds tomorrow and before I get talked out of my selections, after I had received my tickets I moved to one side to let the person behind me play as I check my tickets( has learned some valuable lessons from the past).
I heard that he asked for R50 win and place on no 17 and R50 win and place on no 8
I could see and hear he was not a regular punter and when he received his tickets something just told me to help him and check it, he received R30 win and place on no 17 and that was all, so I told the cashier she made a mistake, man was she angry, she insisted that he said R30 and only no 17 but I clearly heard his requests, to cut a long story short he eventually got the bets he wanted, but imagine now if I had not helped him and no 17 or nr 8 won and/or placed and he went to collect how disappointed he would have been and how many people he would have told about his bad experiences with horse racing, at least he can now tell somebody about the person who assisted him in getting his bets right.

sory bro', it happens all the time. To b honest, not all tatersall staff trained by gold cicle.
Gold circle 'opens' tab outlets all over the country, giving registered owner of a particular tab
5% of take 4 day. of takings(profit) 100K(trust me that min ave-even small tote), owners
get back 5K,,,thats /day,,,sorry about yr experience but varies from province to province.
If we have to take it further and question the incompetence of certain outlets, malema
wil say we rascist, tab will look the other way,,no win situation,,,just back P.J 100K (w)
and 100(k) pl to cover and look the other way B)-
