Goodbye Boucher

So sad to see Mark Boucher go in this way ... I do hope and pray he will not loose the sight in his eye.

He's been more than just a wicket keeper, he's been the backbone of the Proteas team and a real gritty little fighter that never gives up. It's good to see that Kallis elected to visit him in hospital and maybe finish his innings later. They've been like brothers all these years, through some glorious highs and also some very low lows.

Apart from wicket-keeping, who will forget Boucher's contribution as a batsman to the famous 434 50-overs game, against the all-conquering Aus juggernaught, when SA's position seemed hopeless and the target was out of sight?

One of South Africa's greatest cricketers - especially wicket keeper. Great loss at the moment, but life goes on -sooner or later he had to retire. Unfortunately he had to go this way - hope you recover soon and your eye sight is saved . Best of luck to you and thanks for a wonderful career in cricketing - enjoyed watching you play cricket for SA or your local team. In the not too distant future I hope SA Cricket get you involved with their development academych good wicket keepers for the future.
All the best to you Boucher, I'm sure all our Clan will agree with me.
