Why is it that every time the PE discussions take place .... The card is always difficult ... Friday was the same response from the Clanners yet the results were good... Come on guys every race meeting is difficult. Lets just work towards finding winners as we all know that those that don't want to have a bet on a difficult card normally eventually crack and have a bet...

GJ lives in PE so I would lean towards his assessment but the "official" going is good...loads of scratchings and jockey changes now

JM... lol... I find it is generally the guys who know horses, the ones who have worked at a stable, who know pedigrees, those with good contacts, who can read form just from looking at the horses names rather than in depth studying etc who find the Fairview cards toughest. I think they prefer KZN racing for example where there are plenty of maidens and so-called good thing first timers or ones that have raced a couple of times and look like becoming the next Shergar or whatever. The mug punter like me generally finds KZN tough and enjoys PE. Nothing wrong with either and its useful to know who best to listen to and when. My only moan would be that I suspect there are a lot more PMs fly about on KZN maidens for example rather than posting of known info on the forum, there may be good reasons for that but I still find it a little frustrating but no big deal. Anyway, I'm guessing and speculatating over things that are not very important when there are winners to be found...
PK no doubt it would not be out of turn for Cataloj to win but it has never convinced me and Flashing Star appeals

Englander .. Love your Posts and your racing brain... Just posted that to notify all punters that every card is difficult... From my experience i always notice that when people make a card difficult its normally a good card with good priced favorites winning. An easy card is where i pay allot of attention to and normally dont gamble as it can be disastrous. Even when all the favorites win a easy card it doesn't disappoint me as its only a once off especially in SA.. There are more short priced fav rolled over in SA that anywhere in the world i presume... For eg.. look at COOKIE MONSTER on Saturday..
BTW i always follow your selections and most times take your selections.. Only waiting for all to STRIKE gold one of these days..

Morning from a chilly but clear (so far) PE. We have 9 runners today...
Race 1 Anna Jane looking to go closer with Musi up. Aqua Vitae blinkers on so hope this will help her concentration!
Race 2 Strike Twice and Torello for quartets. Both well.
Race 4 Vestal Virgin havnt been able to get to the grass but can run a big race. Cashmere our best for the day if Sanish can relax. Very nice rider but on Fri his nerves got the better of him on Bob. We not having a bet so as not to put pressure on him, she can win though...
Race 5 Prideofthenatiom is very well but hadn't been on the grass. Can surprise.
Race 8 Kahals Secret and Sound Track ditto above

Thanks Shams!
Yes, it did look like his nerves got to him a little. Perhaps a more restrained ride will help next time, but in saying that, it looked like Bob stumbled in the last bit.......but i think the race was over by that time already.
Good luck today. I will be shouting yours home and i hope Sanish rides a good race today to get his confidence up.
