Scotia on the Olympics (tu)

Good morning sports and racing fans and our punting opportunities remain
endless?

Ernie Els legend

Considering we have recently experienced Ascot and the July, on the sports
front, Wimbledon , Tour de France, Grand Prix, Super Rugby and what about
the Open ( well done big Ernie) it was Easy, did not even have to leave the
club house and a superb speech.

Now the Olympics options are endless, let's have a look at a few:

Men's 100m Bolt 8/10 to beat his team mate Blake 18/10 and in the 200m
Bolt a bit shorter 6/10 with Blake 2/1.
110m hurdles another match between Liu and Merritt (Aries) 14/10 joint.
400m Merritt (La Shawn) at 13/10.
400m hurdles Culson 12/10
800m Rudisha 1/5 would have to spread a shoe not to lift gold.
The relays 4 x 100m and the 4 x 400m barring dropping the baton should
go to Jamaica 4/10 and USA 1/5.
5000m Farah 16/10 should only have Gebremeskel to worry about and if he
wants the 10,000m double he is 16/10 to beat Bekele 4/1.

The overall medals USA 4/10 and China 3/1 and the most Gold 7/10 the USA and
15/10 China.

We also have all the lovely ladies to watch where 100m hurdles can go to
Pearson 5/10 and the 200m Felix 7/10, the relays should go much the same
as the men with the USA and Jamaica fighting for glory.

Plenty more over and above Athletics, where soccer/football has the ladies
USA at 2/1 to lift the gold and 25/1 for a goal scorer to remove her shirt.
The men have Brazil at 16/10 and Spain 5/2.

Tennis (all the big names), Boxing, Swimming, Gymnastics and whatever turns
you on...................enjoy!

Highlights from the site

Sad news from Formgrids stopping local racing.

Rugby and Garrick's words of wisdom

Breeding.

Purple Capital .

Gripping stuff in the jockey championship

Gold Cup

Back to Horseracing where we have a very open looking Ladbrokes Gold Cup
with plenty views and a competition.

As far as overseas racing we are looking forward to seeing the mighty
Frankel 1/8 at Goodwood for the Sussex but would suggest that its normal
exacta horse Excelebration will be replaced by Farhh and have the feeling
that the winning distance wont be that "farhh".

Camelot is still around 6/10 for St Leger and 4/1 for the ARC but keep an
eye on the press.

I noticed we have a few new additions to the dictionary

* TESTICULATING
Waving your arms around and talking bollocks.

* BLAMESTORMING
Sitting round in a group, discussing why a deadline was missed or a project
failed and who was responsible.

* SEAGULL MANAGER
A manager who flies in, makes a lot of noise, craps on everything and then
leaves.

* SALMON DAY
The experience of spending an entire day swimming upstream only to get
screwed and die.

* SALAD DODGER
An excellent phrase for an overweight person.

* SWAMP DONKEY
A deeply unattractive person..

* AEROPLANE BLONDE
One who has bleached/dyed her hair but still has a 'black box'.

* PERCUSSIVE MAINTENANCE
The fine art of whacking the crap out of an electronic device to get it to
work again.

* OH-NO SECOND
That minuscule fraction of time in which you realize that you've just made a
BIG mistake. (e.g. You've hit 'reply all')...

* GREYHOUND
A very short skirt, only an inch from the hare.

* MILLENNIUM DOMES
The contents of a Wonderbra, i..e. Extremely impressive when viewed from the
outside but there's actually naught in there worth seeing.

* MONKEY BATH
A bath so hot, that when lowering yourself in, you go: 'Oo! Oo! Oo! Aa! Aa!
Aa!'.

* MYSTERY BUS
The bus that arrives at the pub on Friday night while you're in the toilet
after your 10th pint and whisks away all the unattractive people so the pub
is suddenly packed with stunners when you come back in.

* TART FUEL
Bottled premixed spirits, regularly consumed by young women.

* TRAMP STAMP
Tattoo on a female.

* PICASSO BUM
A woman whose knickers are too small for her, so she looks like she's got 4
buttocks.

Have a great weekend and enjoy the Olympics.

Good punting and may your God be with you.

Olympic organisers have apologised to the North Korean women's football team after their images were shown on a screen beside a South Korean flag.

Kick-off at Glasgow's Hampden Park on the first day of the Games' sporting action was delayed for about an hour.

Heard about the Irish team that arrived with a mesh of wire and poles - apparently to participate in the fencing event!
