I have thought for while now that Shea has been semi retired, it sure seems so...i only watched the race now but Striker was very poor on Gold Onyx.

Phil, I think you have he wrong coach. The Sharks got into the final not the Stormers. You cannot say the Sharks plodded. Many other teams wish they could play like the Sharks.

I was making reference to another posting - "Mckenzie (REDS) makes Plummers look like a PLOD"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John Plumtree IMVHO is top shelf. Highly/Hugely underated.

Checcetti was hanging badly
Maybe Kevin thought he would get a better response from his horse by showing it the whip in the final stages
that's racing , well done to the winner form is excellent at greyville

I would love to know what races you guys were watching...

The hill entering the straight is the doing of many horses.
especially galloping types as Greyville is also tight and many long back backed, long striding horses can hurt thenmselves around Greyville turn. This is because they are turning right-handed for over 1200m compared to most other tracks where the turns are 400-600m.
