Good morning to the Clan and the Olympics are done and dusted and now I need to buy a new couch!

What a fantastic success and would have to say that the athletes, spectators, volunteers and organizers certainly put the Great back in Britain. We had many highlights to savour with South Africa doing well and that man Bolt adding his magic to a spectacular games. Plenty comments and views on the site

happy with my Bolt/Bolt/Jamaican treble

Well we only have 134 more punting days to Christmas, so where do we go from here?

The EPL is ready to kick off and the betting suggests another Manchester match race with City as short as 13/10, United 5/2 and only other team in single figures are Chelsea at 5/1. I will be hoping that the Geordies have another good season and the handicap with 26 points start at around 20/1 might be the way to go and add Cissie to be top goal scorer at the same odds.
400/1 double cant get hurt. North of the border with Rangers missing Celtic are 1/50 so the Hearts (without Celtic) at 15/10 the way to go.

wonder horse

What more can we say about Frankel where the form has been "franked" and we can only look forward to watching the wonder horse in its last few races. York on the 22nd August at 1/8, where St Nicholas Abbey might be the main opposition? then Ascot 20th Oct for the Champion Stakes could be the last race and possible clash with Camelot, I personally cant see it and think the unbeaten star will be going for triple crown glory on September 15th at Doncaster for the St Leger and then possibly off to France for the Arc on the 7th Oct. 4/1, whatever the schedule we can look forward to watching some 5 star performances before we get our minds back on jump racing.

If you are looking some big prices in the flat season then the Melbourne Cup 6th Nov. is where to go with the normal candidates and can I say boring trend looks like it will continue with Red Cadeaux, Dunaden and Americain around 20/1, I can see this just becoming a great social day rather than a quality race with no potential stayers as sprinters continue to steal the "racing" limelight down under, hope to see Black Caviar making a few farewell runs.

Forum still buzzing and thanks for your continued support in growing the site, we have a few horses for sale and plan having a few vacant racing positions in the industry to post soon.

Some highlights

Horses for sale.

Jockey title still being discussed.

Emperors Palace sale and TBA pics.

Equus awards with pics.......

In Memorium

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey", died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.

A wee Scottish farewell for Larry..........RIP
