Hi is definitely a great player - IMO.
He has proven his critics wrong many a times before. He had a proud record for England - don't forget that he was voted the player of the tournament when England won the World Twenty20 in The West Indies in 2010. He has still a few more years of good cricket left in him. He will definitely do any team or country proud if he still countinues playing cricket and not worrying about other politics.

You cannot play for more than one test country, unlike the days of Kepler Wessels.
Why would we want him, he is more destructive and is an individual in a team sport.

You right Pirates. Would rather have 1 Jacque than 5 PK's or especially 11 Rowdy's!

why would he want to earn rands when he gets paid in pounds in the uk, usd in India and Aussie dollars when he goes and plays in the big bash
England would be silly not to get him back into the side for the NZ tour because after the Indian tour in November and England get stuffed again Strauss will be given the boot.

Chicken N Chips, I don't think he would mind earning Rands in SA, cz I think players are paid in relation to the standard of living in the country. None of our cricketers are in financial trouble I can assure you that. But I hear what you saying with regards to England not taking him back, they will be silly,he is a top player. The English line up looked weak without him. SA had the 3rd test won b4 the match started

I think England are likely planning to take him back but first they intend to put a stop to his prima donna attitude ... everything I read tells me they are trying to take him down a a peg. Eg a couple of days ago they said they will discuss KP "When we have time", ie after the India tour. In other words, "KP, you aren't even important enough for us to look at your case right now, stand in line and don't try to jump the queue".
Hopefully he will eat his humble pie quietly and when he has done so he will be returned to the team. The Brits realise he is a fine batsman and has turned more than one match around for the team, but he's being impossible right now, thinking the rules must be changed to suit him and then insulting his captain to the opposition by calling him a "doos".
If he decides to carry on fighting them, well, then it will have to be "Goodbye". Be a pity as he really can bat, and also has the swashbuckling style to put bums on seats. But no team captain can accept this kind of thing meekly if he hopes to keep the respect of the rest of the guys, nor will the ECB.
