Gosforth Park Racecourse sale being investigated

Came across this article about cases of irregular or illegal sales of state land under investigation : Mentioned far down are the sales of Gosforth Park and Newmarket race courses, which are believed to be jointly owned by racing trusts and the Gauteng provincial government;

Only good, if wrong doing is found that all involved are dealt with harshly and swiftly.

The assets belonged to Province and at no stage was there an enabling amendment by the Legislature (which would have raised legal consequences/concerns) to dispose of the land to a private company or otherwise besides the MOU between the parties that was sanctioned.

The Transvaal Horseracing Ordinance was very clear on this. The problem that arises is the Ordinance (to my knowledge) was never annulled!

Maybe our legal fundis will know better?

nothing can happen this sales is 10 years ago why they wake up now

Umlilo look at any post regarding the hawks and you will see how I have always said this bird of prey destroys racing ,personally never trusted the bird ,has moved from many lucrative nests ,work it out for yourself
