Chris - take it easy, get better - so that you can come back fit and strong. We may see this saying - rested, coming back from a long lay off, best of chance, don't ignore - include in all bets.

Claiming of 1st timers that are going to be scratched is being used as a tool to increase deductions, case in point Katie Em in the 1st today was 10/1 (10% deduction) 1 claim (5000/500) now 5/1 and 20% deduction will apply, the fav remained at 16/10 even after the claim but now those who took 16/10 will have to suffer a much bigger deduction and if anyone takes the 12/10 now on offer will finish up with odds on??? surely something has to be done about this its a load of BS!!!

I don't think you are entirely correct.
We got 9500/5000 on the fav mid afternoon.
We we wanted to take more at around 5.30/6.00 pm the fav was already backed down to 12/10 on BW.
The first timer was not scratched at the time.

It is coming out and the deduction will be 15%...we have a very decent double going through from yesterday with Vetruvian Man and will have to take a double digit deduction for a horse that was NEVER going to run??????

you are lucky Titch, I completely misunderstood my friend.
I did not back VM. Was told that the connections are not having a bet. Thought he meant the horse was not right.
In fact "was not having a bet" because the horse was too short in the betting.
I hope VM had a bet.

Morning, PE is stunning today after some very heavy rain earlier in the week. We have 9 runners today....

Race 2 Levitating has shown some good work. She coughed in her first run and was not persevered with by Warren so ignore this run. Was not our money then . Don't leave her out.

Race 3 Tidy Tiger , working well and in this on Warren's advice. Don't leave out of exotics.

Race 4 Played On is better over this trip but strong fillies in this race. Will be running on. Lunar Lee very well and looking for a big run to follow up on last win.

Race 5 Audit Report finds Arlington difficult but is well.

Race 6 Phemba well and if she doesn't run well will be looking for a new career.

Race 7 Bob is very fit and well and for the first time has a great draw. If he has coped with the trip to Jhb and back then will be a big runner.

Race 8 Way Above may find this a bit short but will be running on.

Race 9 Cash Counter took her run very well and should repeat if not affected by "2nd run syndrome"
