Fair Silvano with a much better draw must run a cracker and Queens Courts run to Sunshine Rock looks excellent.

This is why I don't post the reasons for my selections... a summary I did for someone... I forgot to mention I think Grey Starling also has a chance. I am sure the winner will come from one not mentioned! <

Ok, not the best example and I was disappointed on seeing the odds but a potential Pipe Smoker (would have liked semi-idiot price!) is R5 6 Faire Silvano. Apart from Balladry's most recent times, it has the best and most consistent times at the course and has performed well lately from tough draws, much better drawn today, pole position. Dillon, who I think is capable has been on last twice so knows the horse.

Concerns...

Could be soft and not run on soft. Also drops in distance and think it might be better over 1600 but only one run over 1400 so not easy to be sure. Has been slow away, if he is tomorrow then much of the benefit of the draw could be lost.

Balladry, was quite impressive last time but though I think Mariba is also capable, he's not Marcus. Also drawn much worse and did not run well last time drawn wide (well behind Faire).

Queens Court... bit of an unknown for me, times etc on respective courses and distances are competitive, plus Marcus up but gut is against it.

Finding Neverland... I was on last time out but times not as good and now drawn much worse.

For idiots... 13 Trimontium looked appealing on times but closer examination showed they were not great on this course from bad draws. The outsider I think who might have a chance is the 9 Anne Trulove... Pat Lunn seems to be in form, horse is nicely drawn. Was beaten only 3 lengths over course and distance from the worst draw, also had an appie on that day so no reason this appie should not be able to make the horse run too. That run was first after a break, this one is third after the break. Although the time was not competitive it terms of this race, he does tend to be slow away... IF he gets away on terms then 20s looks like good value (BW price, not looked elsewhere).
