Don never said Ms Kema is the answer. The answer to where horse racing must go is going to come from horse racing people. The sooner they take ownership of their sport the better the future will be for us all. Ms Kema only exposed what was hidden and now the time has come for horse racing peeps to decide what they want and not who they want. The who is secondary and I doubt if Ms Kema wants to run racing.

My dear Don, every South African who has an interest in horse racing has the right to be heard. Your input is equally important so you ensure that the wrongs are not repeated. The reconstruction of any system requires a lot more than it took to destroy... Ms Kema is not the right person to do that precisely because she does not have the right expertise and I doubt if she would want that anyway.

Maybe racing needs more ladies to help us men: Gill, Don/Donna, Sweety, Mrs O, Slack ladies (that did not sound correct) but Jessica and Mary, Debbie
We have a few winners there guys (tu)

true Sweety, and a mindset and culture even more painful. So easy, yet so difficult.
@scotia - men, women, ladyboys, whatever- (classism, ageism, racism, sexism !! did i omit anything?) as long as the principles are honourable...and put greed aside. Only then it will work.

You know what's keeping me awake at night right now... It's the state of readiness of our horse racing peeps to take the ball from here and run with it. We all know the universe does not like a vacuum... Ms Kema came in and filled the vacuum whether for the right or wrong reasons but yes, that has happened and now we are where we are. It is important that we raise our way of thinking if we are to get horse racing out of the doldrums.
The outcome can be so good if the process is managed with great care and maturity.
