we had no rain as yet (today).
No sun to speak of. Sun trying to make an appearance though.
If we don't have any rain, we should be good to go.

You mean they spent all that money on the lights for nothing - if they not going to use it, they might as well have kept the 'old / inefficient' Newmarket lights
<
That being said, I don't have a problem with a night meeting as such, but as has been suggesteted many times here, the venue stinks (in more ways than one)

It seems you can scratch a horse with very little reason...(

According to the morning show, the reason for scratching is 'no transport' - now as I said on the 'Kolkata' threat, I'm not 100% up to date with the current rules relating to scratching a horse (too lazy to go and look it up) - but I was under the impression that if a horse is scratched from a race, there is a period (2 weeks ?) in which the horse can not be entered again - so based on that, had Kolkata been taken out of the Scottsville race, it could not run at Turffontein :
Maybe someone who is up to date with the 'scratchings' rule could comment?

No Sun to be seen in JHB. Rain expected. I work down the road from Supersport Park. Cricket also touch and go with this weather. Let's hope the rain stays away.
