Could anyone please explain what is meant by a lay bet.

If u are a punter you back a horse and if u are a bookie you lay or take the bet

Basically, you become the bookie Dean... you take someone's bet, if the horse wins you pay out at the odds you offered, if it loses then you keep the amount wagered. Hope you can increase your post percentage, one every 5 months is not a lot!

You should have rather layed Pugnacious on Saturday night. Everytime this horse ran on the all weather racecourses in the UK it has been pushed at after 200m and it always seems to open up between 3/1 and 5/1 after running poorly before.
