Always wondered why the grooms don;t get a trophy and a cheque ?

The Grooms get cash in those envelopes - the prizemoney for the groom of the winner of the R2R Cup was R2500. I think the beer mug is AWFUL! They should get a proper trophy - not necessarily what the other connections get, but there are plenty of suitable trophies to be bought for this kind of thing. This particular subject is discussed by the grooms a LOT. They think the mug is a bit of a laugh, but were well impressed by the prize money for the R2R Cup! I wish these guys were championed more - and huge kudos to the Princess for congratulating everybody equally!

Maybe a framed picture would be better? (though a trophy would also be good)

....I just love eating breakfast cereal out of a beermug.....very useful and just do not have enough of them.....

Yeah Muhti, these chaps aren't really Museli and Yoghurt kinda guys! Lol!

The money is fine, no one really wants anything else...

I say stuff the mug and the envelope.........save on costs............and bring 2 cents back!

GB, I have discussed this with my staff. They do like the keepsakes - but think the mug is rather random.

Guys just to let you know Princess Charlene donated R100k to the HHCU at the weekend ontop of the 50K prizemoney they were due (tu)

Princess Charlene is fast becoming my favourite celeb !
