Hibernia,

This is really good info to have access to.

How about making this a regular post, updated, as each claim gets made.

Some clarity needed

Is the claim a single claim, meaning that one punter has put down R25000, or is the claim a consolidation of, let's say 5 claims of R5000 each from 5 different punters. Another way of making this point is let's say 500 punters back the same horse at different venues on the same horse, with amounts varying from R20 to a couple of thousands.

If the former is true, i.e , that one a single claim is made, then it would have to be taken at one specific bookie only. This would imply that this info is passed on to every other bookie, in order for it to be known that a claim has been made, and for the price of the horse to be adjusted.

If the latter is true, i.e. that a number of bets of differing amounts, have been taken on the same horse at different bookies, and the bets have been consolidated to make up the single claim of approximately R25000 (rounding off), , then this would imply that all bookie bets get consolidated upwards to a single source. This would tne need to be filtered down for price adjustment.

Would this be any different to insider trading/ price fixing/ collusion ?????

Your guess is as good as mine.

Not to distract from the post, PLEASE make this info available as and when it becomes available.
