Please Deez stop being a big brass:X

How can this presenter preview and tip in Race 2 today and not tip Flyfirstclass in the first four. He waxes on endlessly about haven spoke to Djorn Steyn about Caviga and the 1st run and how he improved blah blah blah but please do your homework and look at the formline especially the Gitiano formline.

mike i don't understand...would you rather have a guy like Laff just tip the top 4 in the betting? and secondly, why do you only look at the negative of him? what about the massive exposure he gives this site each and EVERY time he is on the air, at least once he will mention "the boys from African Betting Clan..."...he is probably the presenter that tries to find VALUE for punters, and looks beyond the betting and a lot of his selections that he even tips for first are over 10/1 and the 2/1 fav he doesn't not even tip in the top 4 and it doesn't run a place...he has cracked this enough time to make his selections credible and worth following, if he was so bad at doing so, he'd resort back(just like anyone else) to just tipping the top 4 in the betting to hopefully make his tipping look better...i don't know how you can judge him based on one horse that won which he did not fancy...give the man a break, he is just like each and every single one of us...there are clanners here who post selections strongly that sometimes we think "what are you smoking?" (prime example: englander) and his 10/1, 4/1, 8/1 tricast comes home lonely without the top 2 or 3 in the betting...even if all of us believe that the fav based on form will not be out the first three...and so yes he and others such as deez will look like an idiot, but the times they get it right(which is often enough for me) they are to be given the respect they deserve, and even if they dont get that, at least dont call them being brassy or trying to look "too clever", because after all, if it wasnt for punters having different opinions, every fav would start 1/100 and 100/1 BAR...so sometimes you should thank a guy like Deez, if you are strong on the horse, he does not tip it in the first 4, everyone thinks their judgement is wrong, the price starts to drift out, you punt it at racetime, and thus get a better price than you would if he tipped it for first!
And in all honesty, if you are a serious punter, you should learn to have volume on mute until the race begins, unless you have not done your own studying and take their advice instead, which then, you have no room to judge their selections. but if you have done your own selections, and then get put off yours due to their thoughts, and it romps home lonely...well that just leaves yourself to blame.

I think Deez read too much into his last run when the starting pen did not open on time. There he stopped with 400m to go. He was declared a non runner but he had watched the race. FFC was injured coming out the pens but as a non runner nothing would be in any report. Maybe Deeez had also watched him work at home!

Looks like someone didn't back what they wanted to , No regret betting gents
As Duke said push Mute or go turn those chops , if you have studied the form don't let a commentator bust your balls - Now Drive this Bus Mikey !!!! Ps Dees tips more winners than Julie, that aussie and the old man put together .

As Bushy brought me into this
This is actually a fairly good race for me to comment on as...
1. I chose to back Crumlin e/w which I thought was a huge price at 40s (went off 22 I think). Unfortunately for me, for the 2nd consecutive time, both times I was on at big prices, it finished 4th. I also gave a squeak (and backed) Counting House which I believe was about 75/1 and finished 6th within 2 lengths of a place.
2. I actually backed FTF in both its first two outings, at good odds on debut, both times it was unlucky, particularly first time out when it was only beaten late by running very very green. But yesterday, Craig, although not negative in any way, did not sound overly keen to me with talk of the going etc and that put me off (no fault of Craigs and certainly not blaming... much though I might like to
lol) so FTF ended up not in my first three. Maybe Deez was the same, he seems to follow ABC so perhaps he got the same feeling?
That is the way it goes sometimes. Perhaps foolish not to even have a saver on FTF, especially as I was strong on it in both previous runs, but I had my reasons and that is the fine line between winning and losing sometimes. On another day, I would have backed FTF and be sitting pretty, so might Deez.
All that said, I was a little surprised by your post Mike, seems a little out of character (from the little perception we can get on a forum!!!)

Sorry if I put you off guys but was worried the track was not 100% ready and FFC had been working like a dog. Not far off it that the stable cat would have beaent him. Very nervous before the run!

hahaha thought you might comment and I actually originally said... "On another day, Craig might not sound so "nervous" and I would have backed FTF and be sitting pretty, so might Deez..." but I took the bold bit out because I wasn't sure if it was nerves!!! Craig, always appreciate your input and I have no doubt you spoke honestly and that is just the way it goes. You were the one who gave me a strong pointer towards FTF when I asked on debut in any case... but what with P King as well, I just can't seem to get yours right!! lol
