With great sadness that i write this! The forum and the clanners will be the biggest losers!
Craig, all the best with your stable and your runners. We have all appreciated your honest opinions and feedback!
Will continue to shout your runners home!
Those involved should hang their head in shame that we chase away people like Craig!!
Good luck Craig, and hopefully we hear from you soon again!

I thought the writing was on the wall when Benton dropped from top of the board on the trainers directory on the homepage to the bottom.....still think Benton have lost all credibility by messing around with owners that owns a chatsite like this....

Why must craig get the horse?if it is because he post on the forum then goodman , goosen and especially Sham must also be pissed for not getting the horse......but they are not, they know the racing game and wont hold anything against the owners

Let an owner decide what will be best for the horse first after such a disappointing stint , its not about what any of us think will be best and nobody except the owners pay the bills ......

I genuinely think you made a great move scotia and hibs and the other owners.....moore is a much better and more respected trainer than Benton.....you did give him a fair chance

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT??

And this is Scotia's,(the owner) reply:

The horse went to Ivan this morning after a sad saga at Steve Benton where the poor runs were not the main reason for the move, Ivan has done a great job with Miss D and has all documentation in place in regards to authority to act , every time u make any move the NHRA want in the region of R600 for every signed fax and we have spent plenty on admin fees.
Lets wait for Ivan's assessment of the horse and we will make a call from there.

Now please tell me what is your problem????????????when did i offended you or badmouthed you???????????????????explain where i missed it totallly because i cant find anything :X

Craig, if you leave this forum because you want to, then its fine.

But, if you do so because of the views of a minority, then I don't think its the right decision (unless their views really matter to you).

In life, you will never please all the people all of the time. Just do (and say) what you feel is right - and from the posts here, I feel that most appreciate and respect that.

Allowing people to influence you decisions is giving those people power over your life - are you sure you want to do that in this case?

Graig your are an asset to ABC. It is always nice to get a trainers perspective
on topics we discuss. You should not let some clanners get to you. It takes
courage as a trainer to post here and express your views. By you not posting
you are letting the idiots win. You are much smarter, don't let some fool prevent
you from posting. You have enlighten us on many aspects of racing.
Please reconsider!

i think this should go as a message out to all those clanners whom wish to have a full go at some of the most "valued" clanners on ABC such as Craig...I for one, as someone who is only grateful for those such as craig posting, along with the shams etc find it a great loss losing someone who posts information on this site which everyone else uses only to their advantage...now i would hate to be guys like scotia/hibs etc as the main boys of this site losing a person like craig, as the pull to get traffic viewing the site shall be less(i would imagine).

Losing the likes of Louis G and now Craig, and others that have posted and called it a day...who is to be next?
Yes forums are for freedom of speech and people should express their opinions, but for %$#& sakes people if you going to have a full go at someone, that is what PM's are for and get hold of them directly, stop being so selfish and one minded in your own worlds that it causes the rest of us clanners to suffer because you did not get your way.

I am saying this not because of this incident directly because of craig(and those whom he said was him leaving thanks to ZO and Easy), but i speak generally to all those who just come on here and cause sh1t for the rest of us to then suffer the consequences...

I think this topic was brought up some time ago, and really think it should be brought into action, whereby new people to the site need to be monitored in some way(either with their names shown publicly, or whatever else sounds like a right decision) before they are allowed to go and post, and furthermore if there is any heated debate, whereby the clanners feel a certain poster may be threatening another posters' valued daily input, then others can inform management that they are not happy with someone and they are to be monitored.

like i said above, as a clanner this is a loss for me having craig retire from the site, but if i ran this site, i would do what it took to leave the good and get rid of the bad, in order to keep the site as valuable to the rest of the punting public out there.

If we carry on like this, NO person(owner/trainer/jock/agent etc) will be posting...and thus ABC will then cease to exist because of that....which no one on here wants....

ZO your reply was just the last straw. I have really enjoyed it and I hope most clanners have enjoyed my postings. I have just lost the appetite and patience for trying to help and reply to most postings and then to get idiots like easy running you down then you just wonder why you bother. Had a pm sent ages ago that said that BB was bought but could not come to me as Steve would not sell it if it was moving. It moved but not to me. Moved to someone who has not posted or tried to help any of the clanners. I could fully understand if it went to the Shams, Louis g, Lunns etc. I get on with Ivan but it is the principal of it. Thanks to the Posters who have posted positively about me above. I really appreciate it and if things change(not about BB as that is over now and too late to worry about it) I could come back if I am wanted. As I said I have really enjoyed the last year but last straw was just too much. Thanks again Craig

All

Has anyone thought it a bit dismissive to say that LUCK plays a big part in Mike De Kock's success?

Every South African racing person (bar 1 ) knows what Mike's exploits have done for SA racing. He is a household name in racing circles here in the UK, he has campaigned vigourously with regards the AHS protocol.

I know others have done plenty BUT when MDK speaks people listen and take note.

For me its all about opinion, sometimes i come across as a doos, maybe even all the time BUT can anyone honestly agree with some of the statements (inuendo) that Craig said about Mike De Kock?

"If we carry on like this, NO person(owner/trainer/jock/agent etc) will be posting..."

we are heading this way with personal attacks on various persons...:(

sadly we are attacking persons livelihoods/personas...as part-time players...on full-time professionals...we do not have the right....
