why in all honesty would a trainer or jockey comment on this site? for what reason? to get slated by all the experts siiting behind their nicknames and computaforms?? great site with some good posters but also some real idiot know it alls that leave a bad taste in peoples mouths..its all very well to say ignore the bad posts but how can you when they involve either yourself or someone u know so personally?
im amazed craig lasted so long! well done to him for his contributions

I have not stopped posting

1) I empathise with Craig . Understand where he is coming from.
2) Easy, stop being a shit stirrer - I know you agree with Craig
3) I am tired , too, of the negatives , the ongoing hatred of the people and bodies in Racing - those threads do us no favours and lose more posters than they gain........so I simply ignore the site until theose posts have left the front page.
4) Many Trainers have admitted to me that they would love to post on ABC but are not prepared for the open hostility and unfair criticism from certain posters. They also do not want to be associated with a site which appears to be openly critical of Racing as a whole.
5) Trainers retain their identity, yet a faceless pseudonym behind a pc
screen takes them apart....
6) I still post, though, but less regularly than before, simply because of the demands of my string, which is bigger now

Finally, please understand that numerous Owners do not want me to post any info on their horses. I have to respect their wishes in that regard.

This is indeed a sad day when members who post valuable contributions for the betterment of all clanners are forced to make a decision to stop posting. Why does everyone have to suffer because of a few. Craig has been one of the posters on this forum that everyone enjoyed. Go back and look at previous posts by him. At six in the morning when all are enjoying their sleep, he would give track updates etc. He has been one of the few trainers who posts on this forum and one who was totally transparent.

This was supposed to be a forum where we share information on the sport we all love. When we start chasing away people because we think we know it all, then I am afraid that this forum will lose many many more who want to post valuable and informative information. So who suffers in the end, we all do. Craig does not charge any of us for the information he posts or the time he takes to sit on his computer and make these posts.

Forum administrators should get tough on people who step out of line.

I have always posted on this forum with regard to my horses. I do it because I believe that everyone is in this game just like me, for the passion of it. After seeing Craig's decision to stop posting, I would also not like to get to the day where I end up having said something that someone does not like on this forum, and end up with a thread like this.

So I have also made a decision, I will also STOP posting in my horses until we get consensus that the forum rules are obeyed and everyone respects each one.

Craig all the best. Only you know what is best for yourself

Cheers Guys

I can't really see what the fuss is all about - if you don't want to air your views, don't post; if you do want to have your say, just try and be civil - it is a free country, if I want to express an opinion, there is no law that says I can't - and if you disagree with me, that's fine - just state your reasons in a civilized way.

I think some of us are too easily offended - and there's also nothing wrong with anyone pointing out the wrongs in racing (or anything else) - just my opinion
