Dave, waiting for minibus taxis (effectively a bus!) they use different hand signals to indicate where they want to go so the driver will know whether or not to stop and pick them up... the sign for Hillbrow is a gun :S
Jakes... horrifying man and to be honest I'm glad you didn't wake up, the last thing you want to do is challenge some of these farkers, lots of them carry screwdrivers or similar and apparently go for the eyes... utter scum

Man tells of dying wife's hospital rape
I felt sick after I read this.
Bloemfontein - A man has told a Free State court how his wife, who was dying of cancer in hospital, told him that she had been raped the night before.
“My dear, I was raped last night,” the paralysed and dying Magda Lombard, 51, told her husband Dirk when he came to visit her the following day at the National Hospital in Bloemfontein, reported Volksblad.
She died a month later in the Mediclinic in Bloemfontein.
Kadisang Moema, 33, a nurse in the oncology ward, is standing trial for raping Lombard twice.
Dirk Lombard testified on Monday, saying he told his wife: “We have to stand together. We still, like always, love each another.”
She then told him how two nurses came to her and while the female nurse held a hand over her mouth and held her down, the man tried to penetrate her from the front. When he couldn’t achieve this, he penetrated her from behind.
Lombard reported the incident to a doctor who said he would report it to the matron.
“He told me I should remember my wife is confused because she is ill. I then said: ‘She is not confused’.”
He organised for her to be moved to the Mediclinic as he was worried about her safety.
He said the head of oncology apologised to him.
When police later came to take a statement from his wife, she called him and said: “Pappa, it is those two.”
He saw Moema standing there and informed the police.
