He did not bother to ride out Turbo Tom in the last race from Turfontein. Anything in the stipes report?

a) ZUCCARELLI (S Brown), the winner. Selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L J Erasmus advised. (NS)
b) EL CIELO (*A Aucharuz) – raced equipped with blinkers (declared 4 December 2012 / 08:18).
c) STRONGMIND – ridden by Jockey R Fradd (declared 3 December 2012 / 15:11).
d) STORMY EXPRESS – ridden by Apprentice N Juglall (declared 4 December 2012 / 14:24).
e) SKINNY JEANS (R Danielson) – raced equipped with blinkers (declared 4 December 2012 / 08:08).
f) THUNDERBALL – Jockey C Maujean weighed out at 52.5kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
g) FAST DAY – Apprentice J Greyling weighed out at 52.8kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight as declared.
h) An inquiry will be held into Jockey D David’s riding of TURBO TOM in the latter stages of the race.
THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED:
a) TURBO TOM – examined post race, nothing obvious detected.
b) EL CIELO – coughing.
SCRATCHED:
a) DE VAR HYT – injured in pens (NHA / 21:45) (Rule 53.5 applies) (Betting 8/1).
b) NATIONS SPIRIT – reserve runner (advised 4 December 2012 / 10:01).

such a talented jock.........i know a guy who was his best friend in the academy, but this guy no longer rides. He told me Derrick was one of the best in his year at the academy

Great ride on Festival of Fire a few weeks ago.......he is very talented.

you dont ride that kak if thrown a bone now and then by top de kock,its plain stupidity ......hope de kock doesnt see this ride,if i was the owner of turbo tom i would have asked nicely for davids if he is willing to pay this months keep to the trainer,if he refused he would surely get something on his ear that will keep him unbalanced for a while......

Why dont they give jockeys that dont ride their mounts out some fines big enough to give owners a consolation of the fine worthy of a months keep......that will stop jockeys riding this kak without any penalty....and you will see more true run races in especially Port Elizabeth and capetown where jockeys manipulate the races with the crawling or too fast pace or holding their mounts up at the back until its too late to even try to catch the frontrunners.....
