yes pomo looks super impressive, but just remember jhb only has 1 top trainer at the moment who actually trains pomo,so imo he is beating avg horses and thus looking super impressive.when he comes to cape town he will face top class horses and if he beats variety club in queens plate ill be the first to admit he is a superstar, but somehow i dont even see him running in 1st 3 in queens plate.
as for met i can see him running 4th at best.

Winzip.... he DID win the July.... with Jackson and co. further behind ... he will have Striker +3Lengths Strydom aboard.... and will be prepared to the minute. . . . . and so far the 'top class' Cape horses have not fared that well in the local feature races have they ??

Jackson got his ass whipped by Pomodoro in the July. And there was nothing reported wrong with Jackson, if I am correct? Pomodoro then comes out and smashes the 2nd n 3rd horses in the July. They only finished so close to him on July day because of his awful draw. If he was drawn 6 in the July he wouldve shat in. Can anyone give me Pomodoros price in the queens plate?

I agree with Flash here.....Pomo is being prepped for the Met.....if he uses the QP as a step nothing to not let him run in the places....this horse may have beaten nothing of note since the July but he has won not fully wound up.....he will be a contender in the QP finish and will be close to VC.....Sean is not wrong to use the QP as the Met is a week later next year and if you go hard in the mile .....one can always adjust..... step off and then get the Met......(tu)

im just trying to warn you guys to not get carried away by the july race.anyway im not here to argue,in fact im glad if tons of money comes for pomo, because in theory then the bookies hv to drift out vc for queens plate and jackson for met.i know those 2 horses will win those 2 races so pls guys back pomo, rumya and whatever else you may fancy because im sure the bookies will be smiling all the way to the bank.how anyone thinks they can beat vc in queens plate is beyond me,but hey races arent run on paper.

VC is a top top horse.....but he did bleed in KZN....has had ALL races all his own way.....put pressure on a bleeder and they tend over exert and can easily happen again....on paper he looks the part....eyeball him in a race, another story....Joey Ramsden is one of the better big race tactitions in the country BUT he has to be easy on VC....::o

I never thought anyone would touch VC over a mile, because of his start to finish ability and how he kicks in the last furlong as well. But after watching Pomo, as Muhti says, would u rather take odd on on VC or say about 4/1 on POMO?

im with winzip you joburgers carry on punting with your hearts variety club and jackson are way above any other horses in the land and on their home course nothing will beat them....if people think jacksons run in the july was his run then you either blind thick or dumb or maybe all three....
