SA vs NZ Pro20 - 23th Dec 2012

I know there mite not be much cricket fans on this thread bt going to view my opinion nonetheless.
After watching the 1st Pro20 on friday in durbs, was quite surprised with the amount of young players n talent on show, quite refreshing. even more on the positive, these youngsters won the game impressively.
So the vibe around the camp was one of optimistic enthusiasm. But today! Goodness me.
Some truly woeful bowling display had supporters throwing tantrums at their TV's, including me.
2 deliveries left for the game n I could already predict the outcome.
S.A to lose n Guptill to trott away to 100, cause that's what we known for,
its acceptable that our Pro20 side is weakened BT hate losing to the Kiwi's after that world cup saga.

Levi to go (Not good enough at international level )

Poor catching and Poor captaincy on the last ball .

T20 cricket the best for "in running" betting - two international matches ended with last ball victories in two days, and both winning teams were lambasted after their previous losses.
Just a pity about the commentaries – grown men screaming into the mike as if their audience is both blind and deaf.

We lost the game before the last over - unable to stop the boundaries and some woeful fielding - but it seemed that it was quite difficult to pick up the ball in the haze; also the wet ball difficult to grip - it was a game we never should have lost.

Levi needs to get more experience against left handers - seemed out of his depth, unlike Davids who showed that he deserved his chance.

One also has to wonder what would have happened had the umpire given the LBW in Peterson's first over - replay showed it should have been given.

I say we will beat them convincingly in PE - is it another evening game?

Frodo, the next game starts at 2 pm ... in PE at St Georges Park, Boxing Day.

Yes the fielding was not good and they missed a lot of catches, but I'm sure it was the haze of bright lights in the mist. Nothing to do with being underprepared or overconfident. They will be 100% sharper in the 3 rd game, especially as it is the decider of the series.

If it comes to that I was glad NZ won the 2nd game. The 1st was extreme boredom with a train smash of a score from the NZ batters. No challenge, no fight, no fun to watch. Now the third game will be close and exciting, not just a {yawn} dead rubber.

It was 20/20 in very difficult conditions, don't be concerning yourselves too much!!!!
I am in Mav's boat... (same for one-day stuff) I would rather lose a good, close game than win a one sided non-event.
Very well played Martin Guptill

Morne Morkel not up to scratch in this short version of the game. cannot adjust his length to suit conditions. Levi... yup take a couple of years off and get some more exerience. he is still young with plenty cricket to come. Davids very well balanced, agile player. I reckon a great find and hope to see him in the 50 over game. I reckon De Kock should open with Davids on Wednesday, but suspect they will stick with Levi one more time.

The match was lost by SA because of a brilliant knock by Guptill. That was one of the best 20/20 international batting displays that I have seen.

Guptill was superb .... but can he do it again? That's the question ... I guess in a couple of days we'll all know the answer.

SA must be very watchful in the Tests as NZ have nothing to lose. The Pakistan series will be a cracker cause when the Pakistanis put their minds to it and try they are a handful.

Nz chasing 180 to win. Mccallum to knock them off and take out a 2-1 win for the underdogs
