F@rk that....take them out with a RPG.....::o

How many times have we heard or read that cops could not get to crime scene because they had no vehicles or petrol....yet they always seem to have a vehicle when they are off duty.....Even cop vans from Hillbrow are seen on Rivonia Road through to Oxford pulling off single drivers in flashy cars....These cops are above the law and more people need to out them..... rather than pay them....:X

And that's why in the criminal justice system, there's the police, lawyers, and finally the judge.

The cop sees a dead body with a gunshot wound, and a man with a gun...and will arrest him for murder.

The lawyers will present their case in court.

The judge looks at all the Evidence and Facts, and hopefully make an objective ruling.

Which one are you (rhetorical question) ?

We can be cynical & suspicious when the situation demands; there is no law against it!

However, in this (and other similar cases), when the jury is not even out, we tend to be totally insensitive to fellow human beings. I, for one, am sceptical about the 'eye witness' account; driving at night, how does one see / identify the occupants of a vehicle? Why does this person not identify herself?

Just as much as there are suspected holes in the police account, so also with the witness account!

I am not preaching. But, if we exercise some feelings / empathy, I am sure that will eventually filter down to a better South Africa.

Lionel you live in la la land.....this incident and many others will be bent and twisted and may never even get to court....the justice system is f@cked....good cops do not pull off single car drivers at 3 am in the morning....you can search an R8 without getting into it....and police protocol is for you to get out of the vehicle after turning it off so that it can be searched properly and without interference....The modus operandi of the Sandton cops that patrol is to pull off single occupant cars at night and try determine if one has been drinking....then harrass for a bribe to avoid arrest....the 2 times I was stopped the police actually wreaked off booze....this makes me very nervous as drink and armed arrogant people are not a good combination.....I have had my fill as many a good cop from sandton have left the force or been tranferred for trying to speak out.....what also hassles me is that they were very quick to release to the press the name of the driver and the drug link...yet the cop has complete anonimity....they may not even be from a police station that has juristriction where the incident took place...::o

Being cynical and suspicious is one thing...by all means I am not advocating being gullible. But, playing judge jury and executioner, IMO, is wrong.

Just the way I see it.

On the 6th of January two corrupt Saps officers intimidated a young lady who was driving up the K60, confiscated her driver’s license and only giving it back to her once she had drawn R1000 from an ATM at the Sunninghill Village centre. Not only did they choose the wrong suburb to do this in but they also chose the wrong centre – the officers were arrested and are presently out on bail awaiting their trial in February. The evidence against them is strong and so as not to jeopardise this evidence we will at this time keep the details confidential. The arrests however was a wonderful example of the community, business and the Saps working together to rid our community and the Police force of corruption and crime.

Guess what, no more of these okes in my neibourhood since this little episode......let's wait for the facts to emerge from the R8 incedent to see if the cops were not involved with something similar.....::o

Guys I want to share this with you as my wife is a member of the saps and I had to go and speak to them last week as I feel this could not go on any longer .
My wife locked her handbag and purse in her office on the second floor of a very big police station and had to go and perform duties that is outside of her job description .
When she returned at around 12am she found that there had been broken into her office and the cabinet that she locked her things in was forced open and her money and all bank cards stolen.
Needless to say we opened a case but up to today for one off their own no finger prints taken no follow up not even phoned her.
There was so much evidence that they could have followed up but failed to do.
What do we do know?
