What was also worth noting, is that we won this last one without Kallis; and it seems we can turn out fast bowlers like the Kiwi's can turn out fine rugby players - we also still have the two from the Lions (Morris and Kruger?) waiting in the wings; I think Morkel will have to pick up his socks - no longer an 'automatic' inclusion imo.

One slight worry remains a lack of quality spinners - Robin Peterson certainly not the worst, but we need to produce a few quality youngsters as is the case with the fast bowlers - we won't be playing on pitches that suit our quicks all the time.

Now let's see if we can get the T20 and ODI squads to the same level.

Good point frodo.we need to produce a few quality spin bowlers for wen we play on the sub continent.India really produced a spin friendly pitch for the aussies and thats why they are dominating that test match.For now we are the best test team in the world having beaten england away,australia away ,new zealand at home and pakistan at home.the selectors need to pick better teams for the shorter version and go with the tried and tested quality players and im sure we will dominate the shorter version in no time because we do have the quality players to do the job.

We need a 'Gogga' again.But one that can 'confuse' them for more than 1 season.

Test matches are now done until October where we take on the Pakis again! However we've got some T20's to entertain us until then. First one is on Friday at Kingsmead. Supposedly rain predicted

What's the weather like in Pretoria ? It will be a 'bonus' if SA can beat Pakistan. Afridi their danger man. I see Levy is left out and Abe De Villiers will open with Davids. Duminy still injured. Thought's ?

Not really interested in 20/20. Levi was a one match wonder when he scored 100 against NZ.

Looking at the two teams I cannot see SA have any chance whatsoever unless somebody in the SA team scores a 80 or so. Gul with the ball and Afridi and Malik withe the bat are the match winners for Pakistan. Seems strange that SA only have 3 players who played in the Test. Pakistan will win with consumate ease.

Only great for 1 team and that is not SA !

What an absolutely pathetic overall and especially batting display by SA.....their lowest score ever?Bring Levi back to open ,his domestic form is good.....

Need to bring Johan Botha back as captain , to bring some common sense back into the team .
